#6 Come Alive by Jonathan Mead
Life wastes itself while we are preparing to live. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
If you had one week left to live, would you still be doing what you’re doing now? In what areas of your life are you preparing to live? Take them off your To Do list and add them to a To Stop list. Resolve to only do what makes you come alive.
Bonus: How can your goals improve the present and not keep you in a perpetual “always something better” spiral?

I agree with The Lilli Effect so I won't comment on one week left to live . However, I will focus on goals. For the last 12 years I have been a part of Strategic Coach and as a result have accomplished far more than I could of imagined when I began the program. Dan Sullivan focuses on a lifetime approach of goal cultivation. Dan has given me well over 50 or 62 tools to use in accomplishing goals.
Right now I have two principal issues that are stealing my joy and passion. One is procrastination and the other is not doing what I love to do. I procrastinate because I have too many options. There are so many good things, I don't focus on the best . . . I try to do them all. Also I do what I "should" (My friend, Tom, tells me to quit shoulding on myself).
I know the solution and that is to START doing ONE thing and also to only work on those things that I love to do. Obviously, the things I don't like to do need to be done but they can be done by somebody else.
One of the things that I've learned from Dan is that true free time allows me to recharge my batteries and rejuvenate my creativity. I'm not taking enough free time the way he defines it - when on free time I can't do one business related thing or I blow the value of free time and defuse its value.
The second thing I need to do is reduce the options that I have to choose from to a very few that I love and have a passion about. The combination of free time plus focusing on my unique ability energize me.
Yeah, I know . . . Just Do It!
